“The Housing Crisis is Over” - What about Boise, ID?

The Wall Street Journal posted an article May 6, 2008 with the following headline: “The Housing Crisis Is Over.”
Keep in mind that’s national. What about the Boise, Idaho housing market?

I would never have called it a CRISIS. Sure the market is soft, but a crisis? I don’t think so.

On the bright side, the Wall Street Journal seems to be one of the first to report positive news! Kudos to them!

The article is suggesting that April 2008 marks the bottom of the U.S. housing market. They say, “Yes, the housing market is bottoming right now.”

Naturally, that’s good news for everyone!

Positive media reporting is definitely a sign of the Boise RealEstate Market strengthening!

Not only Boise, but the Meridian, Nampa and Eagle Idaho Real Estate Market as well.

Personally I do not belive the housing crisis is over. As we head into resssion things are going to get a lot worse than you see it now. You will not be able to afford the price of buying/renting a home. Everything keeps going up while wages stay at a all time low. Wages need to be raised to meet the demand of the current inflation. Remember how it was back during WW2 when they finally went into depression. Time and history has a bad habit of repeating it self and it is well on it’s way.

Thank you for your feedback. I do see your point. Wages are standing still while the price of everything continues to climb. Read my recent survey results (May 29 post), you may find them interesting. Most of the responses came from Real Estate Agents and the majority feel that the Boise Real Estate market will stabilize in 1 to 2 years. What do you think?
